Have to wear a uniform at work/school?

Do you have to wear specific clothes or a uniform at work/school? I don't at my current academic centre, but back in secondary and primary school I had to. I hated it though, I understand there is probably a need for making us do so, but it also made us so much more annoyed every day, and then of course, that got taken out on the poor teachers, haha.
